The Karp Quarterly – 1st Quarter 2013

Welcome to the 1st quarter-2013 edition of The Karp Quarterly to read the entire newsletter click here. Our newsletter celebrates the joy and experiences in life.  We share updates in our families, along with happenings and news from the 4th quarter of last year.  We welcome emails from each of you about the events, achievements and successes that each of you have as well.

newspaperIn addition, we try to share tidbits of information, fun recipes and travel tips.  Please let us know if you have a recipe to share, travel to a fun place (send a picture) or have a gardening/home repair tip. Most importantly, feel free to share a great story that we can share with others.

The 4th quarter of this past year was especially interesting because of the Presidential/Congressional elections.  While status quo was technically chosen by the American people, it appears that 2013 will bring discussions in several important areas such as tax reform, immigration reform, implementation of Obamacare and deficit reduction.  We cannot predict how this will impact the stock market, but we can certainly expect more volatility.

Coupled with the unknowns are a few “knowns”.  Housing has stabilized and is showing signs of improvement.  Unemployment has stabilized and appears to want to go down more than up and Europe, at least temporarily, has stabilized their fiscal crisis.

We enjoyed another successful year hosting the KFS Holiday Party (every year we get a little more done on the now 106 year old house) for clients and friends.  Our “KFS family” collected almost 400 pounds of food that was donated to the Mooresville Christian Mission and about 100 pairs of shoes were sent to Soles 4 Souls.

We are adjusting our investment strategies to address the changing dynamics and continue our focus in helping your personal financial goals track against your life goals.  We have an unwavering commitment to helping each of you have “enjoyment for a lifetime.”

Remember that true wealth is not just about the money you have but about the difference you make in the lives of the people you touch…

Put a smile on someone’s face each and every day
and you will be rich beyond your wildest dreams.

Warmest Regards,
Jeff Karp
